1. Wired Networking

OpenĀ  gnome-terminal to configure wired connection

Click tab Wired and click Add

Input connection name for wired connection than click tab IPv4 Settings. In this tab, you can config manual IP Address, DHCP and other choice

Select Method depend on your network, if in your network you must assign static IP Address choose Manual
Then click Add, fill IP Address, Netmask (for netmask you can use CIDR format, in this screenshot 24 mean 255.255.255.0. And fill gateway for your IP Address.
You need configure DNS servers so you can connect to internet using domain name instead of connect using IP Address.
If you need connect to IPv6 network click tab IPv6 settings.

Now, after finish configure IPv4 address, select Connect automatically. If you select this option, Network Manager will connect to network automatically.

Then click Save to save your wired networking configuration
Click Network Manager icon on the top of your screen to check your wired connection

Now from gnome-terminal run ifconfig and ping to check network status. From ifconfig output you can see interface eth0 already UP

Use ping command to check your connection

2. Wireless Connection

Before we already success install firmware for BCM4312 and now time to configure wireless network. Open nm-connection-editor from gnome-terminal. Click tab Wireless

Connection Name: fill with any name
Select Connect automatically (so Network Manager will automatically connect you to configured wireless network.

SSID: fill with SSID Name from your Access Point (must be same with Access Point name)
Mode: choose Infrastructure if you connect to access point

Then click tab IPv4 Settings and choose the method (manual, DHCP or other)

Selanjutnya click tab Wireless Security
Security: Choose your Access Point security method
Password: Your Access Point password

Click Save to save your configuration. And now you can see in Network Manager or from gnome-terminal

From gnome-terminal, use ifconfig and iwconfig command
